Sonaca NMF Canada is very proud to provide most of the wing skins used by Bombardier Aerospace, both for its regional aircraft and for its business jets applications and also Embraer’s new 190 series

Sonaca NMF Canada is world leader in processing large machined wing panels since 1991
Specialization in shot peen forming of complex shape and curvatures
Saturation shot peening of wing components as well as Spars, Frames, Machined fittings and Landing Gears
Shot peen technology is also applied for straightening of machined components
Other support processes include, machining, NDT, Anodize, Paint and assembly

By documenting each step of the forming process and incorporating this data into training, engineering, tool design and material processing, we can ensure the quality and reputability of this skill-based technology and pass the finished product on to our customers.

To meet the demanding requirements of the Aerospace industry, we have installed and automated the world’s largest computer-controlled shot peen machine. Capable of saturating and pre-forming structure up to 50 ft. (15m) long by 10 feet (3m) wide, the machine ensures the highest level of accuracy while providing low-cost repeatability of the process.

Sonaca NMF Canada has provided Bombardier with wing panels for the CRJ200 since the launch of the aircraft, representing a volume of 21,600 panels.

We have reached a volume of 50 wing panels per month for this Embraer program.

Client : Israel Aircraft Industries G200

Sonaca NMF Canada manufactures up to 110 wing components per month for the Israel Aircraft Industries G150 and G200 programs.
